Ozucoskun House is located in the Kocakoy area of Ayvacik, Canakkale, and is conceived as a residence shaped by the site’s topography and natural surroundings. The building’s layout is defined by the plot’s irregular geometry and the natural thresholds created by the rock formation situated on its northwestern edge, resulting in a cohesive spatial organization that responds sensitively to the landscape.

Along the street frontage, two solid stone walls, between which the entrance is positioned, establish a strong sense of privacy and protection. In contrast, the garden-facing elevation features plastered surfaces and expansive glazed openings, creating an open and permeable character. This duality allows the house to present a controlled and reserved presence toward the street while opening generously to the garden it defines within.

The material palette is based on a balanced composition of stone, plaster, and glass. The dialogue between natural, solid textures and industrial, transparent surfaces creates a calm and contemporary architectural expression. By embracing the inherent qualities of its geographical context as an integral part of the design, Ozucoskun House aspires to create a timeless living environment.
