Creating a mass and functional relationship with the existing courthouse building, through spaces. Interacting with the fabric, by continuing the existing spaces and masses. Covering the site with a green belt, to lower the negative effects of the highway nearby. North and West facades are left closed and courtrooms are located, whereas south contains prosecutor room, justice commission and judge rooms. Social activity spaces are separated and mass and function from the rest of the building. Natural light and fresh air allows sequentially rich, comfortable interior, which contains multiple lives together. Material wise, wood and brick brought more “human” effect on the façade along with the exposed concrete that gives similar massive effect of existing courthouse building.
