Dome İstanbul is an interior concept for an international
technology company, as to cultivate a place like a canvas for creative
production. Located in an industrial area, once at the outskirts of Istanbul,
and now keeping its industrial character within the business district, Dome
Istanbul creates a duality with its industrial character and high tech content.
It generates a user based experience with the contribution of agencies, agency
candidates, prospects and individuals.
In order to develop a spatial concept for an interior space,
two approaches, named as parkour and dome are developed. Dome concept is based on a centralized element that sets the rest of the spaces. This centralized element, which is referred as 'The Dome' gives the space its identity along with the crystallized ceiling that blends into it. Spaces like the display area, meetings, conference room whirls around the dome and the crystal ceiling with a regular order to emphasize the focus on the central object.
Parkour concept is based on
a non-linear spatial strip that starts from the entry and goes along the display, meeting, conference and play zones. Along this strip, which is referred as 'The Parkour', various program blendings are possible, since it creates a base structure for the whole space. The Parkour is made of corten, which gives its industrial identity to space and sets other elements free in shape and material.
